My name is Catarina Alves de Sousa and I’m 31 years old. I was born in Porto, but I moved to Lisbon in 2005, where I now live with my boyfriend and our two kittens.
I graduated in Communication and Cultural Studies from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and I got my master’s degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas).
Since then I have had work experiences that allowed me to learn immensely and try various new things.
What I like to do most is to write and communicate, that is why I started my blog in 2008 and went through the editorial offices of Happy Woman magazine and Máxima magazine. You can see more of my professional experiences here.
In addition to blogging, I also have an adventurous and entrepreneur spirit that led me to launch my own natural and handmade cosmetics business in 2012. It was called NatusPurus and with it I discovered a new passion for handmade cosmetics and soapmaking.
In February of 2015 I launched a new and wonderful project. It’s called You Can DIY and it consisted of DIY kits to carry out craft projects.
In 2015 I carried out another project and an old dream: to organize a meeting of bloggers with workshops, lectures and various talks and educational activities. It’s called Bloggers Camp and this year (2018) it had its forth edition. In addition to the annual meeting, I also do photo work for bloggers under Bloggers Camp, as well as several Marketing, SEO and Photography workshops for bloggers.
Last year (2017) I was able to fulfill another old dream: to write a book. In July 2017 I published it and then presented my first book “Licenciei-me… e agora?”
